GUARDIAN HELPS NEEDY & CUSTOMERS TO STAY SAFE DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Guardian to distribute 15,000 bottles of hand sanitisers
The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the way we live and threatens the population especially the vulnerable and the needy.
Recognising the fact that we need to take care of ourselves (#KitaJagaKita) and being a caring and socially responsible corporate citizen, Guardian Malaysia has initiated a charity campaign to equip the needy and its loyal customers with sanitisers - an important essential - to enable them to maintain high levels of personal hygiene to stay safe.
Anna Ng, Retail Marketing Director, Guardian Health And Beauty, Malaysia and Singapore said:
“We are extremely aware of how important and essential it is to keep our hands clean in the fight against the spread of Covid-19. Apart from our loyal customers, none are more vulnerable than the less-privileged and the needy, such as the elderly and children in welfare homes. This campaign is one way of helping to make sure both our customers and the needy have effective hand sanitisers to clean their hands and maintain hygiene.”
“Called the ‘Guardian Healthy Beauty from the Heart’ campaign, we will be distributing 15,000 bottles to our customers and 14 charity homes and organizations throughout Malaysia and would be enlisting our customers to participate in this worthy cause,” she added.
To kick-start the campaign Guardian Malaysia will distribute about 3,000 bottles of hand sanitisers to the selected charity organizations beginning early December.
“Then beginning December 16, we will roll out the initiative at our stores and also our online store at www.guardian.com.my whereby customers who spend RM40 and above in a single receipt will receive a complimentary bottle of hand sanitiser.
“They will have the option to donate their bottle of hand sanitiser to the charity home or organisation selected in their respective states where their Guardian store is located.
“All they need to do is to scan the QR code in the Campaign poster displayed at their store and pass the bottle back to our staff who will then collect the bottles for onward distribution to the charity organisation identified in their state. We have allocated 12,000 bottles of sanitisers for our customers’ participation,” Anna said.
This in-store campaign will run for a week from December 16 to December 20, 2020 or until stocks run out.
“We urge our customers who come to our stores to take part in this charity drive and make it a success as this is a time where we should take care of one another,” Anna said.
